Programme Learning Goals
The Pharm.D programme aims to develop clinical pharmacists capable of providing patient-centred pharmaceutical care.
Graduates of the programme will be able to:
1. Clinical Knowledge
Demonstrate advanced knowledge of pharmacology, pharmacotherapeutics, clinical pharmacy, and drug therapy management.
2. Patient Care
Provide patient-centred pharmaceutical care, including medication therapy management and patient counselling.
3. Medication Safety
Ensure the safe and rational use of medicines through monitoring of drug therapy and prevention of medication errors.
4. Clinical Research
Participate in clinical research, pharmacovigilance, and evidence-based medicine.
5. Interprofessional Collaboration
Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
6. Communication Skills
Communicate effectively with patients, healthcare professionals, and the community.
7. Ethical and Professional Practice
Practice pharmacy in accordance with ethical standards, legal regulations, and professional responsibility.
