Curriculum 

The B.Pharm (Lateral Entry) curriculum is designed according to the regulations of the Pharmacy Council of India.

Since students enter directly into the third semester, the curriculum covers the advanced professional subjects of B.Pharm from the second year onwards.

The programme includes:

Second Year (Semester III & IV)

Students study core pharmaceutical science subjects such as:

  • Pharmaceutical Organic Chemistry
  • Physical Pharmaceutics
  • Pharmaceutical Microbiology
  • Pharmaceutical Engineering
  • Medicinal Chemistry
  • Pharmacology
  • Pharmacognosy and Phytochemistry

These subjects strengthen the scientific understanding of drug development and pharmaceutical processes.

Third Year (Semester V & VI)

This stage focuses on advanced pharmaceutical knowledge and industrial applications.

Subjects include:

  • Medicinal Chemistry
  • Industrial Pharmacy
  • Pharmacology
  • Pharmacognosy
  • Pharmaceutical Jurisprudence
  • Herbal Drug Technology
  • Biopharmaceutics and Pharmacokinetics
  • Pharmaceutical Biotechnology
  • Quality Assurance

Students gain knowledge of drug formulation, manufacturing processes, and pharmaceutical regulations.

Final Year (Semester VII & VIII)

The final year focuses on professional training, pharmaceutical research, and healthcare applications.

Subjects include:
  • Instrumental Methods of Analysis
  • Industrial Pharmacy
  • Pharmacy Practice
  • Novel Drug Delivery Systems
  • Biostatistics and Research Methodology
  • Social and Preventive Pharmacy
Students also complete:
  • Practice School / Industrial Training
  • Final Year Research Project

These components provide hands-on experience in pharmaceutical industry and healthcare settings.

Diploma in Pharmacy

D.Pharm course is a diploma in pharmacy program of 2 yrs duration after 10+2 (science stream) which includes 2 yrs of academic study followed by practical training in government hospitals for 500 hours covered in 3 months. The main goal is to educate and train the students for practicing pharmacy. This is the minimum qualification to get registered as a pharmacist in India.

  • Affiliation: Directorate of Medical Education Board
  • Approvals: Pharmacy Council of India
  • Eligibility: Candidates should have passed the Higher Secondary Examination or its equivalent with optional subject Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Botany / Zoology or Mathematics.
  • Duration of the course: Two Years
  • D.Pharm Sanctioned Intake : 60 Candidates

Admission procedure for admission to D.Pharm

  • Candidates should have passed in the Higher Secondary Examination or its equivalent with optional subject Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Botany / Zoology or Mathematics.
  • Candidates can directly apply to the college for the management seat.
  • Application for admission can be submitted online.
  • Management seats will be filled as per the directive of State Govt. as specified from time to time.
  • Application form completed in all respects should reach the Principal’s office along with the following documents.
  • Photocopy of mark sheets of the qualifying examination
  • Photocopy of Transfer Certificate and Conduct Certificate from the Head of the Institution last attended.
