Overview

Dr. N. Ramalakshmi serves as the Vice Principal and Head of the Department at C.L. Baid Metha College of Pharmacy, Chennai, contributing significantly to academic leadership and institutional development. She holds an M.Pharm and Ph.D, and has built a strong foundation in pharmaceutical education through her dedicated academic career. She has been actively involved in teaching and mentoring pharmacy students, guiding both undergraduate and postgraduate learners in their academic and research pursuits, including supervising research scholars, mentoring numerous M.Pharm and B.Pharm students, and currently guiding Ph.D candidates. In addition to her teaching responsibilities, she is actively engaged in research, with several national and international publications to her credit, and has contributed to academic forums through conference participation, research presentations, and organizing scientific events and workshops, including 12 national and international conferences. She has been serving in the teaching profession since 1999 and has undertaken key roles in academic administration, curriculum development, and student mentoring, continuously strengthening the academic environment and fostering professional growth within the institution. She completed her Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) from S.B. College of Pharmacy, Thiruthanga, under The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University in 1996, her Master of Pharmacy (M.Pharm) in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from Shri G.S. Institute of Technology and Science, Indore, under Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya in 1999, and her Ph.D from Bharathidasan Institute of Technology, Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirapalli in 2012.
