Overview
Dr. R. Kumaravelrajan, M.Pharm., Ph.D., is a Professor in the Department of Pharmaceutics at C.L. Baid Metha College of Pharmacy, Chennai. He completed his B.Pharm and M.Pharm in Industrial Pharmacy from Annamalai University and obtained his Ph.D. in Pharmaceutics from The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University. He has over 30 years of experience in pharmaceutical education, research, and professional practice. Before entering academia, he gained valuable experience in the pharmaceutical industry, particularly in the manufacturing and development of oral liquid and tablet formulations. His research interests include pharmaceutics, novel drug delivery systems, nanotechnology, and osmotic drug delivery technology. He has published around 40 research papers in national and international peer-reviewed journals, with several publications focusing on nanotechnology-based formulations and osmotic drug delivery systems. He has successfully guided 47 M.Pharm research projects and has also received research funding from The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University. He serves as a reviewer for several reputed international journals and has contributed book chapters in pharmaceutical sciences. He is a life member of the Indian Pharmacy Graduates Association (IPGA) and the Association of Pharmaceutical Teachers of India (APTI), and continues to actively contribute to academic excellence and research development in the field of pharmaceutics. Presently focus research on Nanoemulsion and Nanosuspension and Nanofibre technology.
