Overview

He is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmaceutics at C. L. Baid Mehta College of Pharmacy, Chennai–97. He is a biochemist, computational biologist, and molecular biologist with 17 years of experience in engineering and purifying enzymes, particularly HIV-1 protease, p53, and p73 enzymes. He has expertise in molecular dynamics simulation, drug design, and the development of small molecule inhibitors for HIV-1 protease, with in-vitro evaluation of inhibitor potential.

• Pterostilbene-mediated Nrf2 activation: mechanistic insights on Keap1:Nrf2 interface (Bioorganic & Medicinal Chemistry, 2016, IF 3.64, citations 90), Dynamic flaps in HIV-1 protease adopt unique ordering at different stages in the catalytic cycle (Proteins, 2011, IF 2.6, citations 39),
