1 Circulation Services
- All the users entering the Library must keep their bags and other belongings at the entrance and sign in the Register at the checkpoint. Do not leave any valuables at the Checkpoint.
- Bags, Umbrella, Personal Books and other items, Wearing Aprons or Coats are not allowed inside the library.
- Identity Card is compulsory for getting access to the library.
- Silence should be strictly maintained in the library.
- Use of cellular phones and audio instruments with or without speaker or headphones is strictly prohibited in the library.
- Library Premises are under CCTV surveillance.
- Laptops are strictly prohibited inside the library.
- Users are requested to co-operate in maintaining conducive atmosphere to study, many of the reading materials possessed by this library are very precious, rare and also irreplaceable. Please handle them with utmost care.
- The library books/Journals are not to be spoilt with an underlining, or scribbling on pages. Defaulters will be fined heavily equal to the cost of replacing of the books.
- Books removed from the shelves by users, if not required for reference, should be kept on the table nearest to them. Please don't try to shelve them yourself. Please remember that a book misplaced is a book lost.
- Show the book at the checkpoint before taking out the issued books.
- Beverages and Eatables are not allowed inside the library.
- Library reserves the right to call back any issued book/item at anytime.
- Periodicals, Pharmacopoeia, Dissertation, and Complimentary/Specimen copy Reference sources are to be referred in the library only.
- When a member leaves the college he/she shall return all the books without fail.
2 Renew / Borrow Rules

- Students should produce their identity card while borrowing books.
- Fine-Book returned after 15 days fine will be collected Rs.5/- per day for student.
- Students can renew books one time, with a 15 days interval from the original checkout date. After the single renewal, books are due for immediate return to the library.
- Books borrowed cannot be returned on the same day.
- Students on receiving the books should check their physical condition, as they are held responsible for any damage found later.
- Books once issued, should not be brought inside, unless it is to be returned.
- All the students who want to return the books issued on their names are advised to wait until the books are shown as cancelled against their names.
- Students are advised not to give books to others on their names.

3 Replacement of Lost Books
- The user is responsible for books in their possession. In case of loss of library materials, the user shall be held responsible for replacement costs based on current market price.
- Loss of books, if any, should be reported to the librarian immediately and it should be replaced with a new copy.
- Lost library materials shall be replaced within a period of 10 days from the date the loss was reported.
4 Clearance
- No-dues certificate will be issued at the time of leaving the institute only on return of all the materials borrowed and payment of overdue charges made, if any.
- All staff shall be required to obtain a clearance certificate before their resignation.
- All Students shall be required to obtain a clearance certificate before obtaining their Transfer certificate.
5 Study Holiday Rules
- Books can be borrowed for study holidays only after official dates are announced.
- Renewal of borrowed books is mandatory before the start of study holidays.
- Failure to renew books will result in a fine, calculated from the last date of renewal, which will be recorded on the student's ID card.
- Students must renew their borrowed books when collecting their hall ticket without fail.
- Obtain your semester due certificate as soon as possible after the official announcement, prior to the examination date. Please note that semester due certificates will not be issued on exam dates.
- All library books, including semester books, must be returned. The next day after the examination is the deadline for returning all library books.
- A fine will be imposed on students who fail to return library books within the specified timeframe.
Remote Access
Remote Access enables users to access the library’s electronic resources and services from outside the physical library premises through the internet. This service allows students, researchers, and faculty members to conveniently use the library’s digital collections and online services anytime and from any location.
Through the Remote Access facility, authorized users can securely log in using their institutional credentials (username and password). Once authenticated, users can access a wide range of electronic resources subscribed to by the library, including e-journals, e-books, databases, and other digital materials, just as they would within the campus network.

OPAC
The patrons in the library can search the bibliographic database and find specific information online. The search facility also apprises users about the availability of each item for circulation, including the current status of individual copies of a title and reserve status. The online catalogue helps users search for books and journals available in the Library Resource Centre. The LRC offers a wide range of information products to cater to the needs of its user group.
