Overview

Dr. C. Kavitha is a dedicated academician and researcher in Pharmacognosy with over 15 years of teaching experience in pharmacy education, complemented by early-career clinical and pharmacy practice as a hospital pharmacist (2001–2005) and online pharmacist at Santec Solution Pvt. Ltd. (2005–2007), bringing a strong integration of academic and practical healthcare expertise. She holds a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences (2024) from C.L. Baid Metha College of Pharmacy under The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, an M.Pharm in Pharmacognosy from Sri Ramachandra University (2010), and a B.Pharm from Swamy Vivekanandha College of Pharmacy (2000). Her research interests include medicinal plants, phytochemical analysis, standardization of traditional formulations, and development of plant-based therapeutics, with contributions through publications, book chapters, and academic collaborations. She is actively involved in teaching, mentoring, curriculum development, and academic evaluation, serving as evaluator, inspector, reviewer, question paper setter, examiner, and Chief Superintendent for university examinations across institutions such as The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Pondicherry University, JNTU, and SRM University, and has guided 9 B.Pharm projects, reflecting her commitment to academic excellence, research, and student development.

• Awarded Third Prize in Oral Presentation at the International Conference on “Integrative Approach of AYUSH Medicine in Healthcare”, conducted by Captain Srinivasa Murthy Central Ayurveda Research Institute on 6th–7th January 2024 at National Institute of Ocean Technology, Chennai.
• Achieved Top Rank in the Wild Life Ecology course conducted by NPTEL 2019 through SWAYAM, earning a Gold Medal with an outstanding score of 95%.
