Overview
Dr. K. Dhunmati is a dedicated academician and researcher in the field of Pharmaceutical Chemistry with over 13 years of combined teaching and industrial experience. She completed her Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Chemistry (2019–2023) affiliated to The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, Chennai, and is a University Gold Medalist in M.Pharm. She obtained her Master of Pharmacy (M.Pharm) in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from C.L. Baid Metha College of Pharmacy, Thoraipakkam, Chennai (2011–2013), and her Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) from the College of Pharmacy, Madras Medical College, Chennai (2006–2010), both affiliated to The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University. Her research interests include drug discovery, computer-aided drug design, molecular docking, multi-target directed ligands (MTDL), ADMET studies, and the development of novel therapeutic agents for Alzheimer’s disease and other chronic disorders. She has published research and review articles in reputed national and international journals, received multiple Best Presentation Awards at professional conferences, and has successfully guided undergraduate and postgraduate research projects, while actively contributing to academic evaluation and advancements in pharmaceutical research. She has successfully completed several additional academic and professional certification courses, including a certificate course in “Medicinal Plants” from the University of Madras with an aggregate of 92%, and a Postgraduate Diploma in “Clinical Research” from Annamalai University (Faculty of Medicine) with First Class. She has also completed an NPTEL certification course in “Wildlife Ecology” organized by the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, funded by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India, securing 95% in the Elite + Gold category. Furthermore, she has completed an online course on “Standard Precautions: Hand Hygiene” organized by the World Health Organization (WHO), and successfully finished an online course on “Computational Drug Design and Discovery – A Primer” conducted by JKK Munirajah Institute of Health Sciences College of Pharmacy. I has 12 years of teaching experience and 1 year of industrial experience, making a total of 13 years of professional experience. She has an h-index of 3 with 12 Google Scholar citations and has guided 1 completed and 1 ongoing B.Pharm project, along with 4 completed and 3 ongoing M.Pharm projects.
