Overview
Dr. Remya R. S is an Associate Professor specialized in Pharmaceutical Chemistry with extensive experience in pharmacy education and research. She holds a Ph.D. from The Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University, completed at C.L. Baid Metha College of Pharmacy, Chennai in August 2023. She earned her M.Pharm in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from Kerala University of Health Sciences at Government Medical College, Trivandrum in July 2013, and B. Pharm from The Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University completed at S.A. Raja Pharmacy College, Vadakkangulam in August 2007. Dr. Remya has been actively involved in teaching since 2013, contributing significantly to the academic development of pharmacy students. In addition to her teaching career, she had one year of industry experience in Corporate Research and Development (R&D) of HLL Lifecare Limited, Trivandrum which enhances her practical and research-oriented approach to pharmaceutical education. The research project she worked “Development of Coated Copper T” undertaken by HLL Lifecare Ltd, obtained a fund of 1 lakh US Dollars from “Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation”. She had experience in handling sophisticated instruments UV Visible Spectroscopy, Fourier Transform Infra-Red (FTIR) Spectroscopy, Differential Scanning Calorimeter, Universal Testing Machine and Gas Permeability Tester during her tenure in HLL R&D. She had worked on drug design software’s “Schrodinger Glide” and AutoDock Vina, QSAR software QSARINS, Molecular Dynamic Simulation tool CABS-flex and Statistical Tools Graph Pad Prism and SPSS. She is a topper in NPTEL Swayam exam for “Wild Life Ecology” with gold medal and a Score of 99%. She had qualified GATE 2008 and obtained 17th Rank in All Kerala M-Pharm Entrance Examination 2010.
